Resource Center for Current Grantees
For most MeHAF grants, grantees are responsible for completing a narrative and financial report every six months to inform the Foundation about the status of the project. Project contracts include specific information and reporting requirements. Reporting forms are available electronically on the web and by email. Further informaton is available on reporting instructions or downloading a reporting form. If you would like additional information, please contact MeHAF’s Grants Associate, Cathy Luce, or your program officer.
Correspondence and Project Number
Completed reports and other written correspondence regarding your grant should be sent to the attention of MeHAF’s Grants Associate. This will assure that MeHAF maintains accurate records and relevant issues are also brought to the attention of the appropriate program staff member. Grantees are encouraged to contact their program officer by phone or email with questions or concerns about the project, such as changes in work time lines or budgetary reallocations.
Please reference your project number in all correspondence.
Occasionally the implementation or execution of funded projects may be delayed. In such situations, grantees may request a “no-cost extension” to extend the project end date. Grantees may also request that unexpended funds from a previous budget period be carried forward into subsequent budget periods. In both instances, the proposed activities must be consistent with the original objectives of the grant and requests must be submitted in writing to your program officer, explaining the revised activities, time line, and/or budget reallocations. Please contact your program officer as soon as possible and prior to submitting a written request. Requests for no-cost extensions must be initiated by the grantee prior to the completion of the project period.
Grantees may reallocate up to 10% of their project’s total budget without explicit permission from MeHAF, such changes must be recorded and explained in the next grant report.
* Reallocation of expenses among budget categories by more than 10% requires written permission from the MeHAF program staff and may require review by the Grants Committee.
* Reallocation requests that exceed $20,000 or 20% of the approved current year funding, whichever is greater, will require review and action by MeHAF’s Grants Committee.
Please contact your program officer for additional information and to discuss specific circumstances and related requirements.
Unexpended Funds
Unexpended funds must be returned to the Foundation within thirty days after completion or expiration of the grant.
Changes in Program Scope and/or Objectives
If you are contemplating any changes in program scope or objectives, you must contact your program officer. Major changes must be approved in advance and in writing. Changes involving the project budget may require a approval of a budget revision.
Press and Public Relations
Grantees are encouraged to highlight their work through local media outlets. MeHAF staff will provide assistance and are always interested in seeing copies of press releases and news coverage. If you would like more information, please contact Barbara Leonard at 207-620-8266 x 102.
