Maine Health Access Foundation

Advancing health system reform is a core component of MeHAF's mission to ensure that everyone in Maine has access to affordable, high quality health care.  Reforming our costly health care system is also critical to growing a sustainable, vibrant and diverse Maine economy that offers employment with robust benefits.

MeHAF advances national and state-based reform efforts that meet our mission and address the issues affecting the uninsured and underserved.  As part of our strategy, we will work to leverage opportunities presented by the 2010 federal Affordable Care Act that offer Maine people improved access to a more affordable, high-performing health care system that delivers better health at more reasonable cost.

Our strategies and tools to advance health system reform consistently emphasize public outreach, engagement, and education to drive informed decision-making, and include:
