Strategic Solutions for Maine's health care needs Grant Center

Grant Center

Since 2000, MeHAF has worked with Maine organizations seeking to address the complex barriers to improving the quality of health care in Maine and providing better access to underserved and uninsured Maine people.  MeHAF also provides program and systems expertise to help grantees achieve their goals.

We have funded 419 projects with $34.5 million in total grant awards.

Among their many accomplishments our grantees have:
  • integrated delivery of primary care and behavioral health services at sites in 14 of Maine's 16 counties;
  • mapped clinical content from six participating provider organizations, enabling the first exchange of clinical data in Maine, accounting for 52% of annual in-patient discharges and more than 40% of annual out-patient visits across Maine;
  • begun a process to encourage adoption of mental health advanced directives throughout the state;
  • helped six Maine community health centers draw down $2.2 million in federal funding a year through a technical assistance project.
Please see our Annual Report for more information about current grantees.  See the menu at left for specific grant information, guidelines and resources.
