MeHAF Participates in Kick-Off Events in Portland and Bangor; Events Also Held in Presque Isle, Waterville and Lewiston
One of the centerpieces of the Affordable Care Act, the Health Insurance Marketplace (formerly called the “exchange”) opened with great anticipation and a tidal wave of online interest on healthcare.gov and state marketplace sites. The volume of visitors quickly swamped federal government and some state marketplace servers. MeHAF-supported and just-launched enroll207.com, an online site to help Mainers find local trained assisters and other information on Maine's federally-facilitated Marketplace, received over 3000 unique visits on October 1st! Despite the federal government shut-down, Maine organizations involved in enrollment, education and outreach on the Marketplace got off to a good start on October 1st.
