At the April 6 QC2016: Taking It To The Streets Annual Meeting, Quality Counts recognized outstanding efforts to engage consumer, patients, and families in improving health care quality with its Patient Partnership Award. President Wendy Wolf accepted the award on behalf of MeHAF in recognition of the foundation’s core commitment to keeping the voices and needs of Maine people who are uninsured and medically underserved at the heart our work.
Ed Miller, retired Senior Vice President for Public Policy for the American Lung Association of the Northeast and new member of the MeHAF Board of Trustees, received the Maine Public Health Association’s Pam M.B. Studwell Tobacco Policy Award. This award is given annually to an individual whose dedication, persistence, and passion for improving lives has significantly advanced best practice tobacco policies in Maine.
