The Maine Health Access Foundation (MeHAF) released the call for nominations for the new Dr. Wendy J. Wolf Health Leadership Award at its annual meeting on Thursday. The award is named for Dr. Wendy J. Wolf, MeHAF’s founding President & CEO, honoring her 15 years of leadership at the foundation and her contributions to health care access in Maine.
The Dr. Wendy J. Wolf Health Leadership Award is intended to recognize the exceptional leadership and achievements of nonprofit leaders working to promote access to quality health care and improve the health of Maine people, particularly the uninsured and underserved. The award includes a $10,000 gift to the nonprofit organization that employs the recognized leader. “We can think of no better way to honor Dr. Wolf’s contributions than to recognize those nonprofit leaders who carry on her legacy of promoting access to care for Maine’s most vulnerable people,” said Barbara Leonard, MeHAF’s President & CEO. “These are the leaders who will promote improved health for generations to come.”
Nominations for the Dr. Wendy J. Wolf Health Leadership Award are due by June 15, 2017. Details about the award and the nomination form are available here.
