Becky Hayes Boober Named VP of Community Impact at Maine Community Foundation

PORTLAND & ELLSWORTH– The Maine Community Foundation has announced the appointment of Becky Hayes Boober as Vice President of Community Impact. She will join the staff in June.

Boober is currently senior program officer at the Maine Health Access Foundation (MeHAF) where she manages a $14-million investment in integrated behavioral/mental health and primary care as well as MeHAF’s Thriving in Place and Access to Quality Care collaborative-building initiatives. Prior to joining MeHAF in 2008, she worked for the State of Maine for more than 20 years in public policy and administrative leadership in the commissioners’ offices of the Education, Health and Human Services, and Corrections departments. 

Originally from Kansas and now living in Otis, Boober holds a BSE in Education/English from Kansas State Teachers College, an MA in English from Emporia State University (Kansas), and an interdisciplinary PhD from University of Maine. She will be working out of the foundation’s Ellsworth office.
